Her works need no interpretation to be understood.

    Her art is self-explanatory.

However, the observer of her abstract work is invited to listen to his or her own feelings and reactions, so he or she is challenged to think about the picture.

Erna Klaus is full of ideas when it comes to realistic works. The improvisation is in general the most demanding form of art, it takes maturity and experience to get there.

There are few artists in the field of fine arts who work on their artistic development with such great enthusiasm and seriousness.

Art was born to arouse emotions.

The works of Erna Klaus take on a double meaning: they are paintings but also memories; the artist in fact uses painting and materials that are directly inspired by an event or a lived experience and therefore are configured as lyrical evocations imbued with emotions in which colors and materials blend to create a gentle, precise and decisive style.

    To “RisvegliArti” in English

It's always a pleasure to pay proper artistic homage to the season of the earth's awakening - spring.

The flower with all its delicate elegance is the absolute protagonist in the works of Erna Klaus, a painter with a distinctive style that perfectly balances formal synthesis and chromatic richness: the soaring poppies and the supple water lilies stand out from the others and their stems seem born from a calibrated, dripping and convincing graphic stroke, the refined amaryllis almost turn into a dull and ideal fireworks. It is easy to be touched by such works because they touch the heart with grace and sincerity.

To “A di astrattismo, I di informale” in englisch

Synthesis and balance often go hand in hand in painting, and the artist's goal is to achieve them. Looking at the works of Erna Klaus, one can clearly see that the coveted chromatic-formal combination has long been part of her technical baggage: with a limited number of refined and contrasting colors, she manages to sketch fantastic realities, halfway between dream and journey, representations of a joyful fantasy that experiences art as the most beautiful and indispensable of all experiences. The historical-playful dimension is not secondary either, with suggestive forms and atmospheres with unexpected references.

To “A di astrattismo, I di informale” in deutsch
